Taramati baradari is an open air dance platform. Taramati was a legendary singer in the court of Abdullah Qutub Shah, 7th Qutb shah dynasty. There are couple of stories behind this cultural complex. One is that the king used to hear the voice of Taramati sitting a mile away in the Golconda fort. There is also a story of the Taramati and Premamati sisters dancing on a rope tied between the complex and the fort. The complex is now converted as a tourist resort with multi cuisine restaurant, banquet hall, open air auditorium etc. I was carrying the DSLR and the security guard at the gate said photography not allowed, but one can use mobile to click pictures. Not sure if its because its located close to army training campus.
A small climb to reach the complex.
Taramati Baradari
View of the new city from the hillock.
Open air auditorium from the hillock.
The complex might be having some historic significance but there is nothing much to see here. One can skip this if they are running short of time.
